This was a first for me. I was totally jazzed. Dustin had arranged to have a photo session with his girlfriend, Alyssa. He explained to me that he wanted to propose to her DURING the session so I could capture that moment forever for Alyssa. Ahhhhhhh! Is that not the coolest idea ever??!!

I was so thrilled to be a part of this “surprise” proposal. Thank you, Dustin, for choosing me to document your engagement!!

Alyssa and Dustin, I pray that the happiness you share will continue to blossom and grow through the years. May God bless you both mightily!

I have family members that would rather swim in the pond then in a pool. Me…. I don’t get that. Give me chlorine and cement any day. That makes Heather Kennedy my new hero. What these seniors will do for their portraits!! I love it! And that’s exactly the point. Let’s make the Senior Session more than an appointment. It should be an EXPERIENCE. One that you can always look back on, laugh and say “I can’t believe I did that!”

Heather wanted to get wet… Ok I said. I got the place for you!! She laid in the muck on the shore like a professional Swamp Woman as I snapped away. As you’ll see below… they turned out beautiful!

Mysti & Justin Wedding – Tallahassee Photographer

Meet Mysti and Justin. This awesome couple was married at the beautiful Lake Iamonia Lodge in Tallahassee. They tied the knot amongst the rustic wood and beams of the lodge with hydrangeas, lace and candles adorning the room. The bride’s dress was absolutely gorgeous, and under the multiple layers she wore her cowboy boots! They even included their beloved friend and pet, Rudy Lee.

Every detail of the planning came together beautifully… except the weather! I dare say, it was the hottest day of the summer! So we did a quick revision of shooting locations keeping everyone cool and comfortable in the air conditioning. Nobody skipped a beat. Studio lights were set up and the bridal party continued with their excitement, joy and silliness! I had so much fun with this family…

I fell in love with these two kids! Lexi and Chris made this Couple Session a blast. Easy going, super friendly and totally relaxed… just how photographers love it.

So here I am… blessed again… to be able to take Reagan’s 6 month old pictures!! Is she not gorgeous?? What a little princess. And she was game for anything… very content to pose and smile and laugh. This girl is just too precious! Can I hear an amen???

And while I’m writing this, Reagan’s cousin is being born! Three babies in the family all under a year old. We’re gonna have some cousin love going on here!!

Reagan, I pray that you will grow up in the grace of the Lord as you grow in years. That your family will be blessed with every spiritual blessing as they train you up in the way you should go!

Lindsey Maternity – Tallahassee Photographer

Here is a session that was very dear to my heart. Lindsey and Kenny… and baby. I feel like we have waited for like fooooorever for this baby to make his appearance. I just read on Facebook he’s gonna have some chunky kissable cheeks. And from an ultrasound picture I saw he’s going to have some long legs like his daddy! And you know he’s going to be the most held, talked to and loved baby ever (I know his grandmother…).

Lindsay, you’re a beautiful and precious young lady. The beauty that everyone will see in your portraits comes from a heart that loves the Lord and loves those around her. It flows from you like a river. Kenny, you spread a joy wherever you go; you’re a “Room Changer”. Its like you walk in and the lights get turned on… and you didn’t even realize you were in the dark.

I pray that the bonds that tie your family together will be strengthened by the power of God. I know there will be NOTHING that will be able to sidetrack your family’s destiny. In the powerful name of Jesus.

Harrison Wedding – Tallahassee Photographer

On May 5th, 2012, Meghan Phillips married Brandon Harrison in Calvary, Georgia. This wedding was so beautifully planned out and decorated. No detail was left undone. They used the parsonage for the bridal party to get dressed and the front porch held the actual ceremony. The bride was escorted down the isle which ran around a large beautiful oak and up the front steps to the porch. It was a photographer’s dream come true.

Inside of the parsonage was decorated with furniture, flowers and pictures to give the bridal party pictures a turn-of-the-century feel. The grounds were adorned with flowers in mason jars and beautiful bouquets and wreaths were hung. And the reception hall was the Piece de Resistance! Flowers galore, burlap, ivy, quaint rustic furniture, and a huge mural of pictures that were taken through the years of Meghan and Brandon.

Meghan and Brandon are an awesome couple. When I met them at their E-session I instantly fell in love with them. Easy going, fun, sweet… I have greatly enjoyed working with you guys and can’t wait for our upcoming shoots!! Stay tuned…

Meghan and Brandon, I pray that your years will be filled with God’s grace being poured out on your family!!

Eric Robertson – SENIOR SESSION – Tallahassee Photographer

This was complete joy for me to shoot Eric’s Senior Session. He has been a vital part of Fire at the Farm (check out our Facebook page!) since its inception; him, Cody and Anthony are three young men that never cease to amaze me in their passion for Christ and His Kingdom. Eric has a vision and drive for touching people’s lives, showing them the beauty and power of Jesus… his heart is for God’s grace to fall and fill our territory!

Thank you Eric for giving me the opportunity to return some of the blessing that you have been in my life. Father God, I pray that You will fan that flame in Eric to burn brighter still, to touch many lives and secure FREEDOM that Your Son has died for!!

Baby Jaxson – Tallahassee Photographer

How precious is this baby…. Kellie brought Jaxson into Lori Rask Image Design for a Newborn Session. I just fell in love at first glance. Jaxson is a beautiful boy and I can see why… his mom is just as beautiful. I was just assuming, as Kellie and I were coordinating plans for the session, that she was probably in her late teens or early twenties. Then she told me that Jaxson is her fifth child!! Wow. Kellie has such a meek and gentle spirit and she has passed this on to Jaxson. He was relaxed and content with all of our gyrations of him and looked to be enjoying himself. He is truly special.

Jaxson, I pray that your content spirit will fill every room you’re in with the peace of God.

William & Promise – Tallahassee Photographer

I really looked forward to this wedding. Not only to be asked to share the day with good friends, but with this family… you know something’s gonna get a little crazy (…and it did).

Promise had to be the most calm and collected bride I have ever seen. Everybody at her asking questions, lots of bridesmaids and family crammed into a small space getting dressed, and making sure as both the bride and groom had to move around the facilities they didn’t bump into each other… she just kept her cool. As the big moment approached, clock ticking, everyone waiting and in place, family members urging “Come on Promise!”… there was Promise with her mascara in front of the mirror, full of peace, no rush on this young lady – “OK, I’ll be right there…”. It just made me giggle.

The ceremony was gorgeous. Rain sprinkled just momentarily before the clouds opened and the sun burst through to spill a beautiful light on them saying their vows. Gorgeous.

After everyone ate a delicious meal (yay Julio and Becky!) the party got started! These people take their dancing serious!! You could tell this wasn’t the first time they cut-the-rug together. I could hardly hold my camera still for laughing so hard!

William and Promise, I pray that God surrounds your little family through the years and fills you with His love and grace to overflowing.
