The many faces of Madyson:

Precious little Reagan is no exception. Reagan is very special to me because she was born into a family that is so dear to my heart. The Hightowers. I have prayed for this little one for a long time, along with many others. And now she is here… shining her little light.

Reagan, you are fearfully and wonderfully made, God knew you precious Reagan while you were in Courtney’s womb, He has knit you perfectly, He has given you everything you will need for life and for Godliness. I look forward to watching you grow in wisdom, watching you discover and develop the gifts the Spirit has given you. God’s grace will pour from you and you will touch many in your life, Reagan, for the glory of God.

Grayson was content throughout the whole session. Just taking in his surroundings… following me with his eyes as I moved around him. Very curious about what this was all about. It was a beautiful warm day so after I shot a few indoors we went on the porch of the cracker shack. I placed the basket in front of one of the doors. When I stepped back I had to laugh. It looked like the old saying… finding a baby in a basket at your front door!!

I asked Gail and his mom, Allison, to stand behind me to coo and whistle and get his attention. He just thought all that was great. He’d giggle, stretch, yawn or just gaze. It made for the cutest pictures. I was able to capture so many different expressions. This little boy was full of it!!

This was my second session with Courtney. The first was Before Braces… this one “After Braces”.

We did one of my favorite things on this shoot. I had the location I wanted to place her car, but after we took those shots, we just cruised around and found some neat locations. I always thought it’d make a good Reality TV show to drop a photographer and model off at an undisclosed location and see what can be created on the fly. So… that’s what we did. We found several abandoned buildings, beautiful bokeh, neat colors and walls with ivy.

Courtney is a gorgeous girl. Whether in red heels or cowboy boots, she has got it going on!!!

Courtney, thank you for letting me capture these images for your senior portraits. I pray that your future is brimming over with adventure, love and success!!

While we were shooting in my studio I was chit-chatting with Jasmyn’s sister, Precious. Come to find out… Precious doesn’t like her picture taken!! Here is this beautiful girl with a heart-stopping smile…come on! I knew Vivian would love a picture of both her girls. Sister pictures are one of my favorites, probably because I have a sister that means the world to me! Precious agreed (thank you sweetie!) and I got this awesome image of two sisters.

Vivian… thank you for letting me take pictures of your beautiful daughters. I pray that God would encompass your family with His love and goodness for all your days.

Both of Melinda’s girls have a way of interacting with the camera. They command the attention of the viewer. Keaton could be a model, hands down. What a beautiful young lady. Not only are her features gorgeous, but she would just naturally fall into a pose that was pleasing. She let me have a little fun with the scarf on a few of the images. I hope you like them, Keaton. I LOVE them. Maybe we can cook up another shoot in the spring!!

And then you have Emma. Her personality comes jumping out of each image. She holds nothing back. I could just follow her around all day snapping away! Melinda… is she EVER in a bad mood? She enjoyed every minute of our session. We decided that her earings are going to be her signature look in all her sessions. Remember those earings from a previous session?

Well girls… I pray that the Lord will bless you with the abundant life that is in Christ!!

Chris said he had just gotten his hair cut. Perfect time for portraits when you have a “new” look. From these pictures I’d say the new look is a success! Chris just fell into poses that looked natural and relaxed. Made my job a breeze!!

And then Madison. This young lady is just gorgeous. Each picture she gave me a different look. I really had fun editing them and seeing her different expressions. And… I WANT HER HAIR!!! I can never get mine to just fall into place so perfectly.

Madison and Chris… I pray that your lives will be full of God’s blessings.

Chris and Emily, the human kids, were a joy to work with. I get the impression that they’re just going to have fun no matter what’s going on. They took one look at the hay rolls and KNEW they needed to climb those bad boys!! So we snapped a few there.

Then when it came time to photograph Curtis and Theresa (the big kids) we really got to laughing and giggling. Here is a man that outrageously adores his wife! And I can see why, Theresa is a gentle-spirited beauty. As they were carrying on in front of my camera, I glanced over at the kids. They were sitting in the grass watching and laughing, just basking in their parents love.

Last, but definitely not least, I took some shots of the two youngest kids. These dogs were just as photogenic as the rest of their family. They posed, they smiled… it was a piece of cake!!

Gagnon’s – I pray that your lives will be full of God’s grace… overflowing and uncontainable!!!

They arrived in several cars all dressed in fall colors: brown, orange, beige, black, white. A feast for the eyes! Little Chloey had on a cute rust color top with ruffles, she looked adorable, as usual. You know who she reminds me of? Sunny Baudelaire. Remember the little baby in the movie “A Series of Unfortunate Events”? For real, doesn’t she? And then Daryle and Holly’s twins, Jonah and Mercer, were such handsome little fellows in their matching orange shirts with grey vests. Man, they were so cute!! You should have seen (and heard) all of the family trying to get the three babies to smile and look at the camera all at the same time. I am bringing squeeky dog toys to my next baby session… for sure!

So… everything’s going so smoothly, everyone’s relaxed and enjoying themselves… until… my daughter, Hannah, arrives with her large King snake wrapped around her neck. Those of you that know Hannah have learned to look for a snake before approaching her. So here’s how it goes.. I’m posing Darlye and Holly, their smiling so nice and I’m snapping away, when all of the sudden Holly yells “Oh @&%*#!” and runs away. I’m like, huh? Everyone is laughing. I turn around and Hannah had quietly walked up behind me with “Bo” sticking his head out of her jacket. Daryle was cool about it (but then he’s just cool, isn’t he!!). But I couldn’t get Holly back without removing Hannah. Holly, I’m sorry I have to tell this story to everyone… but it was SO funny. We still re-enact it and laugh. You made our day, girl!!!

Oh, then we had the little episode of Roger (Kevin and Daryle’s daddy) getting “stung” by the electric fence. The babies wanted to touch the horses. I told them that I wasn’t sure if the top wire was hot… sometimes it doesn’t work. But let’s pretend it is. So Roger is holding one of the twins over the fence to see the horse and all of the sudden he JUMPS, yells and the baby is startled and cries!! We’re all like… ya, it’s hot.

The icing on the cake of this session was that I was able to take some headshots for Kyle. I spent some time with him in different locations. Talk about easy. This guy should be a model. He has some serious charisma. Wow.

All in all… this is a totally awesome family. I am so thankful I got to photograph Chloe’s birthday celebration and their family session. After the family session they could have all just stayed at the farm and hung out and I would have been as happy as a clam.

Singletarys, I pray that the blessings you have given me these last couple weeks will return to you multiplied. I pray God heaps more grace and favor on all of you then you could wildly imagine.

The weather was gorgeous. The grounds were lovely. The kids got to have their faces painted and the little girls were dressed up as princesses. And there was a banquet fit for royalty – Julio’s Food on the Move prepared a feast!! (Like their page on Facebook and check them out! Yummmmm!!)

For those of you that don’t know… the Singletary’s are a very talented musical family. When they sang Happy Birthday to Chloe I was amazed. I want the CD!!! Chloe got her very own mini cake to dive into… and she did!! A number of the pictures I took of her after the cake-eating she had cake smeared all on her face and hair. They are adorable.

This precious baby was so blessed to be born into the Singletary family. I have gotten the opportunity to know them better at the party and our Family Photo Session. They’re the kind of people you can relax and be comfortable around instantly. The kind that you feel like you’ve known them forever. Thank you all, for thinking of me to document this wonderous occasion. It was such a pleasure to capture all the joy and excitement of the day. Let’s do it again next year!!!

Chloe… I pray that you grow up not only in stature, but in wisdom, amazing love and a heart after God.
