I was so honored to be able to shoot the wedding of some very dear friends of mine… Pastor Kenny Hightower’s son, Kenny Junior. There are truly no words to describe the impact this family has had on my life. I was thrilled to be able to participate and capture the beautiful memories for Lindsey and Kenny.
The wedding took place at the hometown beach where Lindsey grew up – Keaton Beach, Florida. Lindsey, my daughter Hannah, and I went to the location ahead of time for me to get the lay of the land and do some planning. I knew it was going to be gorgeous. It was at a secluded inlet with a quaint screened-in wooden building and a pier that reached toward the sunset.
We started at Lindsay’s home with the bride and bridesmaids. Everyone was rushing about in and out of all the rooms, lining up for hair and makeup, the usual pre-wedding hustle and bustle. Cassie Farris, my second shooter joined me and took some gorgeous detail shots of the rings, the gown, shoes… Thank you Cassie!! In all of the whirlwind Lindsey remained calm and had that beautiful smile on her face that we all love! She just seemed to float about.

I think shooting portraits of the Bride alone is my favorite part of weddings. They are just so gorgeous, full of joy and anticipation, sparkling eyes… and Lindsey was even more so!! If I had had an hour with Lindsey for her portraits it still would not have been long enough.

The ceremony was incredible. The words spoken over them, the music, the prayer… it was awesome. And both Kenny and Lindsey were adorable in their own ways. Kenny could hardly keep a straight face for smiling so much and Lindsey just looked… angelic.

See what I mean… here’s Kenny during the first prayer!!

After the ceremony I whisked the Bride and Groom away for a few portraits. The sun was getting ready to set and the festivities were about to begin. As the evening started to descend on us everyone was ready for a good time!

Kenny and Lindsey, I pray your years be filled with the presence and power of God and your lives shine bright with His glory.

Lindsey, Your wedding day was perfect & beautiful. I pray you & Kenny are blessed beyond measure for years to come. Love & Hugs, Tracy
